HydraIRC 0.3.165 is available for download and it fixes a couple of very low-risk security issues where a specially designed webpage that triggered automatic opening of a malformed irc:// url could trigger a crash in HydraIRC - but you'd have to open the webpage first.

Contrary to popular belief HydraIRC is NOT dead, I and many other users still use it on a daily basis, granted it's not updated very often these days on that note I've decided to open up svn repository access to everyone so willing developers can get the source code without having to register with me first. Point your svn client here: http://svn.hydrairc.com/hydrairc/trunk/
